When you speak the language of energy

Energy is a language you were born knowing how to speak. This is a language we all know, though each of us might  have a different way of understanding what it means. Each person has a unique perspective and experience.

I may have a different way of feeling, seeing, or knowing energy than you. It’s pointless to try to prove energy to anyone else, because of this uniqueness. Trying to prove energy to someone is like trying to prove what you feel. Your feelings are your experience, and while you can communicate them, you can’t expect others to completely understand your experience of feeling. They have their own experience, which you may not completely understand.

You were born already equipped to speak the language of energy, because you are energy. Your body is made of energy. You as a being are energy, spirit.

As an energy, there is just one of you; you are unique in all of creation. This is why it’s important for you to know yourself: the rest of us need you to be you, because nobody else can replace you. When you find the truth of who you are, you heal yourself and become a healing for others, just by being. It becomes easier for you to create your creations, and live your life.

If you think there’s something wrong with you or with your energy, you can go through life feeling flawed, as if you’re missing something. When things in your life don’t go the way you’d like them to, it can be easy to blame yourself and think your energy is bad or wrong. Another word for this is ‘invalidation’. If you think you or your energy are wrong, you are invalidated. You’ve forgotten that you have value.

It is when you have your own energy within yourself, and when you can begin to get more of your energy back again, that you start to become validated again. There is nothing wrong with your own energy, but if you are walking around holding onto all kinds of energies you picked up from other people and events, it’s more difficult to have enough of your own energy to do what it is you want to do. You forget your own value, or don’t get to know it, when you become a storehouse for energies that aren’t yours. It can feel like you’re carrying a burden around with you. All of the energy that isn’t you affects your body. When you take on other energies, they affect your body’s energy and health.

So, how do you change this? How do you begin to learn who you are, and to know your own energy? How do you get validated?

Getting to know yourself begins with you taking the time to go within yourself, and to begin to communicate with yourself, in order to learn more about what is true for you, who you are, and what you honestly want for your life. Meditation is a valuable tool you can use to become more aware of who you really are. Grounded meditation will help you to change your energy, and change your life. When you take the time to get to know the most important person in your life better – yourself – you make brilliant and lasting changes. It’s worth it!

When you show up and do the work…

When you show up to do the work of becoming you, you begin to put your energy back into yourself, and into your life. This is akin to investing in your own future, not to mention your present.

When you do this, you are able to perform miracles, like healing yourself from events in your past that have lingered, places where you left parts of yourself behind. By releasing your energy from those places, you can have it back now, where it can really do some good for you. Only in the present moment do you create. The more of your energy you are able to have with you now, the more resources you have to create with. You have a valuable resource – your own true energy, which cannot be replaced by any other substance.

When you decide to invest time and energy in embellishing yourself, your return is far more than you might ever expect, predict, or imagine. If you haven’t taken the time to know your own spirit, you don’t even know yet what you don’t know and what you are missing about who you are, and how great and joyful your life can be.

When you make the commitment to forgive, trust, and love – you, then you step away from anything or anyone who ever tried to make you feel that you weren’t worth it. When you decide to dive in and become completely honest with yourself, rather than play the child, victim, or powerless one to forces outside of you, you create space for yourself that cannot be taken away. The only way you can lose that space is to give it up to other energies.

When you dive in and begin to get it, to really see – you! – you’ll be awestruck at your power. If you’ve believed that your power and value came from outside of yourself, you are in for a treat when you learn where they really come from. Look no further than your own true home – yourself.

The Sunday Meditation Teleseminar

Making it real is an inside job

It’s important to understand that if you want to be seen in the spotlight, it isn’t the spotlight itself that makes you look good.

It’s not because of the spotlight that you shine. Your light comes from within you. The more comfortable you are with who you are, the easier it will be for you to stand out, and to step into the light.

The better you know and love yourself, the more you allow yourself the permission and space to simply be who you are, the simpler it will be for you to fearlessly step forward and be seen.

It’s not what’s coming in from the outside world that makes it real for you, but how you choose to be, from the inside out. The power is within you already: the power to decide to become conscious, to heal yourself, to give yourself permission to be one of a kind.

No matter what others may pressure you to be, if you are grounded within your own truth, it will be effortless for you to know what you need to do next. If your loyalty is to a group, to your family or friends, or to someone else’s way of seeing, you may want to spend some quality time and sort through yourself to see if you’ve been blindly loyal at the expense of your own truth. If you’re afraid of being ostracized by the group for being yourself, you will hold yourself back from living your own life. Your life won’t belong to you, and you won’t be free.

If you can’t be what others want you to be, be yourself instead. Find out what that is, and make it real by becoming it, with complete honesty.

It is time to step up your game, to decide to free yourself of those old restrictions. Let go of the rules that held you back, such as the need to make sense to everyone, be perfect, or live sensibly. As you’ve no doubt noticed, a lot of things do not make sense right now. We are moving to a new time in our evolution, and yes, we are evolving. It’s happening anyway, so you might as well come along.

If you’re not sure where to start, you may want to begin by asking yourself, what makes it real for you? What do you really want? Be honest with yourself, and you’ll never need to worry about what others think. By living your truth from within, you will show them who you’ve decided to be.

Put down the remote and listen to your body

You wouldn’t think of speaking to other people the way you sometimes might speak to your own body, not if you wanted them to listen for long, that is.

It’s so much easier to ignore your body’s requests, or to make it wrong when it can’t live up to your expectations, than it is to ignore another person. You would most likely have more compassion for someone else’s need for sleep or a day off, than you do for your own body’s need for the same. You may even be angry and frustrated with your body when it can’t do everything you want it to. You might expect it to keep going and going, and when part of it breaks down or you get sick, you wonder why you have such a flawed body.

It looks like many people are trying to operate their bodies from outside of themselves, yelling orders at their body; “do this, body!”. They get angry when their body doesn’t move as fast as they want it to. They work non stop, eat poorly, and hurl insults at their beautiful body. Treating another person like this is seen as abusive, but doing this to ourselves isn’t seen as being wrong, just as long as we get our work done and show up when expected, fulfilling our roles and responsibilities.

Unless your body is a TV, garage door, or air conditioner, it doesn’t operate well by using a remote. At least not for long, though you may get away with it for a while. What people see as an inevitable breaking down of the body as one gets older, can also be seen as the inevitable result of what happens when one doesn’t listen to one’s body, and give to it what it needs.

Your body is wise beyond what you might be aware of. There is intelligence and intuition in every part of you. When you take the time to rest and listen, to meditate and heal yourself, you unlock the hidden power your body already has within it.

A meditation on making messes

Are you ready to make a mess?

If you have come to the end of needing to be perfect, if you are tired of holding yourself back, if you want to throw your hands in the air like you just don’t care, and free yourself – this meditation is for you.

Disclaimer: Practicing this meditation will not make you a better person. It will not help you to solve problems you haven’t been able to solve. However, it can help you to let go of needing to hold it all together, solve other’s problems for them, or worry about the little things.

Before we get started, find yourself a comfortable chair to sit in, one that allows you to have your feet comfortably flat on the floor. Give yourself space, ie: turn off the TV, radio, cellphone, put the cat out, etc. Have a quiet space for yourself.

Close your eyes, and allow your attention to be on yourself. Breathe, and notice your breath, notice your body, notice how you feel. Get back in touch with what is going on inside of you, now in this moment. Do this without judging any of what you notice. You are already perfect, just as you are. No need for improvement.

Visualize, imagine, create a connection from your lower body at the base of your spine, to the earth, and allow this connection to go all the way to the very center of the earth. This is a grounding cord. You can visualize your grounding cord to be anything you like: a tree trunk, a vine, waterfall, beam of colorful light – what ever feels good to your body. Make sure it’s firmly connected to your lower body.

Now give yourself a deep breath, and allow the grounding to be real for you and for your body. Allow it to help you to feel safe and connected to the earth. Ask your body how it likes this grounding cord, and adjust it if your body requests that you do, so that your body likes it too. This is healing for your body. Your body takes on all of that energy you handle, and this will help your body to let it go.

Now breathe again, and notice that you can release any energy you want to let go of, and you can use the grounding cord to help you to release it to the earth. In other words, you can get it out of you. When you release energy to the earth, it can no longer do any harm. The earth neutralizes it. So now you have a tool that allows you to let go of anything you are DONE with. It’s completely up to you what you hold onto, and what you let go of.

Ready? Let’s begin!

Notice any energy that’s been sitting inside of you demanding that you solve it. You may have been in failure because you couldn’t solve it. Or perhaps you’ve been making nice, trying to keep it together for others. Maybe the energy is a fear that things might fall apart and then you’d be responsible because you didn’t hold it together.

Begin to release the energy that demands you use your energy to hold it together, to make it nice, to stop messes from happening. If you’ve been wanting to make a mess, to create big changes in your own life, release the energy that wants to hold you back from destroying the old ways of doing things. Just let it go down the grounding cord back to the earth.

Keep releasing and notice how it feels to get this old stuck resistance energy out of you. Let go of the demand that you be perfect. Allow yourself to be exactly who you already are by releasing energy that says that isn’t good enough.

Keep releasing, and notice how you feel, what you are experiencing, and what your body has to say about this. Notice there is no effort, that you can do this just because you want to.

Finish the meditation by filling back in with your own energy. Create a gold sun above your head, and allow it to be the source of your own unique energy. Shine the gold sun down into yourself, and allow your own energy to come right back to you, and to fill you up again. Replenish yourself with the energy that is truly and beautifully, all yours. Notice how you feel, and how your body feels.

Relax and enjoy yourself, just as you are.

A meditation on value

Psychic Everyday spotlights a different energy for each month. Value has been the theme for January, 2011. This is a special meditation on Value.

Looking at what has value and meaning is a wonderful way to begin a new year, or a new era in your life, especially one filled with so much possibility and opportunity.

Value itself is a wonderful meditation theme. Having a conscious awareness of your own value, as well as valuing what it is you already have in your life, can help you to create even more of what it is you want.

A meditation on value:

Sit in a comfortable seat, with your feet flat on the floor. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and allow your attention point to come back to you from wherever it has been. As you sit and breathe, notice that there is no effort to do so. Become aware of your body doing its work, effortlessly. Create a connection from your lower body, the base of your spine, into the earth. Allow this energy connection, this grounding, to go deep into the earth, all the way to the center of the earth. Notice how this feels for your body.

Notice your lungs, heart, brain, stomach, liver – all of the organs in your body. Every organ and every gland, every tissue, bone, cell, your senses – every part of your body is priceless. Many people don’t even notice the miracles of their bodies until forced to, whether by illness, injury, or something else.

Begin by thanking your body for its miraculous abilities. Find gratitude and value for each part of you, from your toes all the way up to the top of your head. Especially if part of your body has been challenged in some way, find gratitude. Notice the value of having a beating heart, a brain that is working, lungs that breathe – it is through the miracle of this body of yours that you can even do anything that you do each day.

If you’ve been in the habit of invalidating your own body, if you’ve been angry at your body, if you’ve been ignoring it, if you don’t like it and are hypercritical of it, now is a good time to get over that, and become friends with your body. Allow yourself to release any body invalidation that has been sitting inside of you, down to the earth. The earth will neutralize the old uncomfortable energy you let go of. As you continue to communicate with your body, continue to release these other unhappy energies that have been sitting inside of you. Notice how it feels to do so.

Notice your own abilities, talents, things you like to do. What are you attracted to, what do you love, what is fun for you? Find value for these abilities, even if nobody else around you can value them. Allow yourself to release any invalidation that comes up and gets in the way of you having what it is you love. If you’ve been holding yourself back from creating something because you’re afraid it won’t have value to others, let go of that fear. It’s just resistance, getting in your way.

Notice if there is something else you want to value more – perhaps your work, relationships, home, choices in life. It is up to you, not others, to find what has meaning for you. Release any energy that gets in the way of you having this for yourself.

Notice how this feels, and what you experience while doing all of this. Finish the meditation by replenishing yourself with your own energy. Create a big beautiful golden sun above your head, and allow this to be the source of your own unique energy. Let it shine down and fill yourself back in again with your own healing energy. Let the gold sun help you remember your own value. Enjoy!
